ICHK Secondary and Summits staff, governors and supporters joined together to celebrate a soft opening of the campus on Friday evening.
ICHK Head of School Sean McDermott, Summits Coordinator Kathryn Lung and ICHK Director of Projects and Creativity Liam Greenall spoke about the need for more post-secondary learning opportunities for young people with diverse needs, and the journey to the opening.
The programme has been four years in the making and has been inspired by ICHK’s inclusive and innovative philosophy and practices.
Our new state-of-the-art learning spaces are flexible and dynamic, responsive to the needs of the teachers and learners, and inspired by co-working spaces and the flexible learning environments commonly found in universities.
Our goal is to prepare learners for a productive and fulfilling life in a vibrant, caring environment, dedicated to growth and acceptance. It is the next chapter in ICHK’s journey towards delivering the best possible learning experience for students with diverse learning needs.
